About the CSV Challenge

Our Story

In 2015, Will Deatherage started a Catholic blog called Clarifying Catholicism. While Will studied theology at The Catholic University of America, he recruited 120 student writers from across the world to contribute to this project. Many of the connections he made during this time were key to the formation of his company, Catholics for Hire LLC, which now provides digital marketing, curriculum development, and nonprofit management for Catholic and Catholic-friendly organizations. The Catholic Student Voices (CSV) Challenge aims at returning to the roots of Catholics for Hire by encouraging and empowering students of all ages to write insightful theological commentary.

About Catholics for Hire

Breathing in Missions. Breathing out Masterpieces.

Catholics for Hire LLC is a freelance agency. Our contractors specialize in digital marketing, design, curriculum development, and nonprofit management. You can learn more about us here

We believe that missions come before money. We trust that God will provide, and we will try our hardest not to turn away a person or organization whose mission we believe in. We are aware that many Catholic digital businesses are often not quite Catholic, are decades behind today’s technology, or are too business-oriented to serve the missions of their partners. As our patron, Saint Carlo Acutis, would say, “Not me, but God.”
